ORLANDO, Fla. - September 27, 2026 - The Atlantic Institute of Central Florida, in collaboration with Embrace Relief, hosted a successful community blood drive with OneBlood on Saturday, September 26, bringing members of the community together to help support the region’s lifesaving blood supply.
The OneBlood Big Red Bus welcomed donors
from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with 25 people donating blood during the six-hour drive.
The turnout exceeded expectations and provided an opportunity for OneBlood representatives to meet members of the Atlantic Institute community and learn more about its commitment to service, dialogue, and community engagement.
Sarah Hawthorne, Account Representative with OneBlood, expressed her appreciation for the strong community response and shared that the turnout exceeded expectations. Organizers were especially pleased to see community members respond enthusiastically to the opportunity to give back through blood donation.
“Community service is at the heart of what we do. We are grateful to everyone who took the time to donate and to our partners at Embrace Relief and OneBlood for making this initiative possible. Every donor who stepped onto the Big Red Bus did so with one simple purpose: to help another person in need.”
The blood drive reflects the shared commitment of the Atlantic Institute of Central Florida and Embrace Relief to bringing people together through meaningful acts of service. Beyond collecting blood, the event helped build new relationships and introduced OneBlood representatives to a diverse community eager to contribute to the wellbeing of Central Florida.
Atlantic Institute extends its sincere thanks to OneBlood, Sarah Hawthorne, Embrace Relief, the OneBlood team, volunteers, and all 25 donors who contributed to the success of the event.
